STEEP RTI Research Paper.  Click Here.    This paper presents effectiveness data on  STEEP to improve achievement and reduce the need for special education.  STEEP is unusual in the new field of RTI in that not only are each of the components (e.g., Intervention) based upon research but the system as a whole has been evaluated and the results have been published in peer reviewed scholarly journals. This paper is by VanDerHeyden, Witt and Gilbertson, 2006.   This is the latest paper and it references other work pertaining to STEEP.
